Sixth Annual IP Scholars Forum Focuses on Patent Law Reform
On Friday, Oct. 28, The University of Akron School of Law's Center for Intellectual Property and Technology hosted its Sixth Annual IP Scholars Forum. This year's topic was Patent Law Reform. Participants from throughout the United States and as far away as Australia came to Akron to discuss the changes to patent law resulting from the America Invents Act (AIA), which was signed into law on Sept. 16, 2011. -

The Clemency Project
This is an in-house clinic staffed by volunteer law students. The clinic assists low-income clients with trying to obtain a pardon from the governor of Ohio. -

The Expungement Clinic
Expungement is the process of sealing criminal records. Convictions, dismissals and no bills can be sealed. As a volunteer in the Expungement clinic you will interview low income clients and conduct research to determine if the client is eligible for expungement. -
