The Law School Admission Council has designated February as DiscoverLaw.org Month. As part of a continuing commitment to diversity, The University of Akron School of Law and the Law School Admission Council will co-sponsor Discover Law Day Program. -

Akron Law Announces New Criminal Expungement Clinic
The University of Akron School of Law in cooperation with the City of Akron has announced a new initiative named the Akron Law Criminal Expungement Clinic. The City of Akron has provided Akron Law with a $10,000 grant to finance the program, which will allow Akron Law students to assist Akron residents on having their felonies expunged from their records. Students will work under the supervision of Akron Law Legal Clinic Director and Professor of Law J. Dean Carro and Akron Law graduate Aviva Wilcher, who will serve as director of the Criminal Expungement Clinic. -

Akron Law Makes Donation to Local Community Legal Aid Office
The University of Akron School of Law, as part of National Pro Bono week, made a donation to the Akron Community Legal Aid office. The $430 donation was given to Sarah Stratton, director of Community Legal Aid on Thursday, Nov. 18. -
